Kristina can trace her lineage and has joined Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and all kids are in Children of the American Revolution (CAR) (she was Society President) and Wade is SAR (Sons of the American Revolution).

took place in the time period from 1765 and 1783 during which the Thirteen American Colonies broke from the British Empire and formed an independent nation, the United States of America. The American Revolution was the result of a series of social, political, and intellectual transformations in American society, government and ways of thinking (wikipedia.com)
They even got engaged in their costumes over 25 years ago!
and still wear them and new ones made along with the kids for events...
Aurora as Sybil Ludington was presented as her Girl Scout Bronze Award Project. One of the Character's ancestor's family in the American Revolution crossed paths with Sybil on her famous ride rallying her father's army to counteract the British at Danbury, CT as they fled from their blacksmith shop/home that night the British burned down the city to family in NY. George Pearsall (6th & 7th Great Grandfather) joined the Revolution and was in several key battles under George Washington including the surrender at Yorktown. She even went to Ludingtonville, New York in 2017 and saw Sybil's momument in her dress!

Wade's dad did Revolutionary War re-enactments in Boston, MA. Wade is pictured here with his antique black-powdered rifle and colonial shooting frock at the age of 20
While in Colonial Williamsburg, VA, they sat in the courthouse where the Declaration of Independence was signed.
They were inspired by Williamsburg and Mt. Vernon and wanted to come back to CA and launch more living history!
