2012 brought the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic as well as many ways to commemorate the landmark event. Here are some of the ways the Characters were out doing so in
Movie Replica Dresses
(5 in all):
The coat and skirt of the Boarding dress were made by another dressmaker for Kristina; the rest of the dress and accessories were made by Kristina
This dress was made from scratch with no pattern from vintage materials by Kristina
Made by Kristina by reconstructing and adding to another dress
The Swim Dress was started 15 years prior and remained a pile of fabric, pattern 1/2 cut out, until completed the night before seeing Titanic's re-release in 3-D and worn to the theater (top photo).

Right before going on stage the trumpet player spilled his icewater all over the songbook- eerie!
Many might not know that the Queen Mary docked in Long Beach, CA was built with the Titanic in mind in the 1930's. That is why it was the perfect setting for a 100th Anniversary for people all over the country! People stopped and asked to have their photo with the costumed Characters and one family went so far as to say, "Seeing them made the trip!"
